Step 23. Business Models in MVS.net - Model 4

Model # 4. Large distributor with central back office plus storefronts or agents who manage and control their own accounts

This model provides centralized back office and database for distributor with multiple sub databases for agents/storefronts. Agents buy airtime in a similar manner as equipment in fixed amounts with fixed margins for rebate.

The domain administrator:

  1. Creates basic rate plans in Tools-> Rate plans;
  2. Creates Customer 1, Customer 2, Customer 3 etc in Accounts-> Customers;
  3. Assigns the tariffs in Accounts-> Tariffs;
  4. Populates the database with terminal IDs of Storefront 1, Agent 1, Agent 2 in Accounts-> Terminal IDs-> Registration;
  5. Creates user accounts for Storefront 1, Agent 1, Agent 2 and enables read-only access to their data in Central Back Office domain Tools-> User Accounts;
  6. Initiates domain registration for Storefront 1, AGENT 1 and AGENT 2;
  7. Storefront 1 user account is registered as domain administrator in the Storefront 1 domain;
  8. Agent 1 and Agent 2 user accounts are registered as domain administrators in the AGENT 1, AGENT 2 domains correspondingly.
